Water, Bees, and Solar Cooking

Posted by admin on Nov 10, 2009 in holistic health & Wellness |

As a writer with a focus on holistic health and wellness, I try to attend local events to stay on top of the current trends available. I recently attended the Wholistic Health Fair at the University of Missouri – Kansas City Campus. The event had over sixty three vendors covering everything from acupuncture to vibrational healing using a Japanese healing known as Reiki.

I learned about the benefits of drinking restructured, ionized water.

These included:

  • Increased Hydration
  • Balance Body pH
  • Increase Blood Oxygenation
  • Neutralize Free Radicals

  • I stopped by the Priceless Alternative Energies booth where I learned how to cook using solar power. It was quite interesting learning how to cook everything from cookies to pot roast using only the sun.  Solar cooking reduces reliance on fossil fuels while reducing our carbon foot print.

The last booth was the most intriguing as I had never heard of Bee Venom Therapy.  Bee Venom Therapy uses honeybee venom from a live bee sting that reportedly brings healing and relief to various auto-immune, neurological, spinal, arthritic, cancerous, and viral diseases. According to the practitioner, using bee sting therapy is most effective when used in conjunction with the principles of acupuncture.

I had a truly enlightening afternoon and walked away with many article ideas.
